Chancery Court Hotel is centrally located in London, and with so many attractions, it may be hard to decide what to do. Here is a list of places to visit and things to do conveniently located within a 15 minute walk from your room at the Chancery Court.  Find something new in London for frequent travelers or busy work trips!

 

Dinning

In house the Chancery Hotel, Pearl Restaurant offers gourmet Asian fusion cuisine.  Everything on the menu is artistically plated and creatively cooked. A three-course meal will cost around 60 pounds, which is appropriate for the quality of the food and stunning atmosphere. If you would like to experience some local culture, have a drink at the Cittie of Yorke Public House, more commonly called The Grand Yorkie, a pub dating back to 1430! This is truly an Old-English experience of food and atmosphere perpendicular gothic renovation 1920. Another place to go for good English fare or a stein of beer is The Ship Tavern, which has been making meat and potatoes, fish and chips and all the classics here since 1549. Experience England’s close ties to French culture at the French Kitchen just across the street from the Chancery Court Hotel. It has a wide selection of wines and is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel.  In the mood for comfort food?  Bacco Restaurant and Wine Bar offers well priced Italian dining that features fresh ingredients in classic dishes.

 

Sightseeing/ Museums

A short walk from the hotel is the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral , which is open to visitors from 8:30 to 4:00  every day except Sunday.  We suggest you walk to the top of the dome to see a spectacular view of London.  In the opposite direction from the hotel is Trafalgar Square, a large public space often used for special-events.  No doubt we will see this London landmark during the 2012 OlympicsThe London Aquarium is near the Chancery Court too, as is the Harry Potter London Bus Tour, a must-do for any fan of the Potter series.

Nightlife/Theatre

Theatre is a staple of London culture. With only a 6 minute walk from the Theatre District and a location near many west end stages, the Chancery Court Hotel is the perfect place to stay if you want to see music theatre or dance.  Catch a production of Wicked, Phantom of the Opera or Sweeny Todd and see the famous Piccadilly Square.  Or visit The Peacock Theatre, which shows small plays, musicals and dance productions.  The Royal Opera House is also a short walk away and is the best place to enjoy ballet and contemporary dance.
