London Holiday Shopping: Markets to Malls

For all those that have to find the perfect gift, or LOVE to shop, why not weekend away in London? Weather shopping upscale at Harrods and Burberry or hitting the Top Shop for a deal, London has every store you could ever need! Here are our picks of great shopping spots o hit in London Town and the hotels close by to grab lunch, or after-shopping snooz.

 

Located only ten minutes Andaz Liverpool Street Hotel is Westfield Stratford City which features an astounding 349 stores. Grab clothing, electronics, hardware to put under the tree or menorah then dine at one of the international selection of restaurants! You can take the central line or overground train to reach this destination. Another ten minute tube ride away is Oxford Street and Soho. Or visit one f London’s Christmas Markets for great food, special events,  products from local artisans and holiday decorations, of course! For those that appreciate art, a great market to visit is the Christmas Pop-Up at Artisan, this is the perfect place to grab a unique work you can’t find at a shopping mall. We suggest you stay at the Andaz Liverpool if you’re interested in shopping at these destinations because it is so convenient! If you are looking for shopping plazas and markets that are walking distance from your hotel, then the Chancery Court Hotel is an excellent choice. It is located less than a mile from tons of shopping opportunities. One is the Covent Garden shops (half mile away, ten minute walk). These shops are in a garden plaza and have tons of start up boutiques as well as clothing store staples. In between shopping you can catch a movie, a show, or a ballet while tooling around this area. And don’t forget, you’re in London! Stop and have some tea! Recommend tea shops can be found here for fine dining and tea sipping on the west end. If you are looking for something more unique, try the Silver Vaults which are home to London’s new and antique silver. One other very important aspect to consider when thinking of gifts for others is gift shops! If you are in London then there are plenty of historic places to see and enjoy and why not buy a special souvenir for that special someone?
